This course will cover:

• What anaphylaxis is and common triggers.

• Signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis.

• Life threatening airway, breathing and circulation problems.

• Emergency treatment for anaphylaxis.

• Allergy safety policies and whole-school allergy awareness.

• Staff training, emergency response arrangements, and information sharing.

• Individual Healthcare Plans and Allergy and Asthma Action Plans.

• Reducing exposure to known allergens, including food allergy management and school trips.

• Wellbeing, serious incident reporting, and learning from near misses.
